Shirin Ebadi is an Iranian refugee, political activist, lawyer, a former judge and human rights activist and founder of Defenders of Human Rights Center in Iran. On 10 October 2003, Ebadi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her significant and pioneering efforts for democracy and human rights, especially women's, children's, and refugee rights.
As you can see in the video below she reveals the double standard and hypocrisy of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation), the largest head of state organization in the world after the United Nations (UN) itself and comprises 56 Muslim countries and the Palestinians.
She attacks the attempt by the 56 Muslim countries to write their own human rights treaty while using the religion of Islam as the basis for it.
In many Arab and Muslim countries like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kuwait and Qatar:
– There is no freedom of religion or freedom of speech.
– There is no equality between people (the non-Muslim is not equal to the Muslim).
– There are no equal rights for men and women.
– There is no democracy or a separation between religion and state politics.
Sharia laws permits child marriage, forced marriage, child brides, polygamy, FGM, acid attacks, honor killings, flogging, breast massage incestual PRACTICES etc.
