WHY SHOULD SONIA GANDHI AND RAHUL GANDHI GET FREE BUNGALOW IN POSH 10 JANPATH? IT
IS TIME TO REFORM COLONIAL FREEBIES TO POLITICIANS IN INDIA
TIME FOR PM NARENDRA MODIJI AND BJP TO SERIOUSLY LOOK AT THESE ISSUES.
I have been unable to decipher the slow eviction rate of government owned bunglows and houses occupied by the ex-ministers and ex- luminaries that are long out of the power or performing any role of the public services.
BJP is firmly in the saddle for a while, but appears to be moving at slow motion on the the eviction. This is not a perpetual previlage granted by the tax payers or laws on the book.
Another issue is the free accommodation to Rahul and her Italian mother in the sprawling Bunglow complex at 10 Janpath. Is that in par with other elected MP or are they given a special exemption.?
What bothers me is the tradition that has been ongoing for a long time.
" You scratch my back and I will scratch yours".
I think we need more independent accountability of allotment of this previlage and how decision are made for allotment and eviction. To hasten eviction, the government must discontinue all utility service the day after they cease their duties. All government servants should be withdrawn and reassigned.
Giving free housing to the public servants is not the common feature of the democracies if the world except for the heads of the state.
A proper adjusted salary or housing allowance are probably normal methods to follow.
The sheer number of houses the government owns at state as well as at federal level create an excessive burdens on the Tax payers. The upkeep,maintenance and manpower employed to serve the public servants itself drain the resources. The smaller size of government improves focus on key items of governances.
Aren't we better off , getting rid of this housing system that imposes the burden on taxpayers and places administrative road blocks.
The same people are involved in scams, corruption, money laundering and other crimes.
