VERY WELL PUT. (e-mail below, apparently from a "Sainik")
Bharat is the ONLY country still motivated/moved at the highest level by GANDHIAN ethos, that is, violence is evil and, by corollary & logic, the soldier is the devil.
This deeply INGRAINED trait in our nation's psyche confused us so much in 1947 that there was an excruciating internal struggle in every Hindu's mind & soul then- whether to surrender or fight.
Since the idea of surrender linked nicely with the deeply ingrained idea of "TYAAG" (Renunciation) it was the winner.
Our top leaders, fore-most "mahatma" Gandhi, prevailed upon the rest, paralysing their fighting spirit. The enemy did not waste a second but promptly stretched "mother India" across the surgeon's table and proceeded to chop off the limbs. The severed arm was called WEST Pakistan and the right leg named EAST Pakistan. "Partition" was forgotten in a SPLIT SECOND when Jawaharlal Nehru, who had earlier eliminated his rival Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, climbed the rampart of Red Fort in Delhi and saw the "glow of freedom" and proclaimed the "tryst with destiny".
Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Khyber and Gilgit, Dhaka, Sylhet and Chittagong all vanished from our view so effortlessly that even the cries of those delivered to the "KAFIR KILLERS OF MECCA", being hacked to death, abducted and raped, went UNHEARD. Precisely at the darkest and the most humiliating moment in our history the nation began to sing, dance and celebrate. The Indian army was still withdrawing from all those cantonments along the western border right up to Khyber Pass and beyond!
FIGHTING SPIRIT and NON VIOLENCE do NOT go together . It is even against the Laws of Nature when we see a wolf making off with a lamb for its supper.
"Broken" BHARAT (Hindusthan) is DOOMED if the status and honour of her armed forces are not restored. Right now, as seen from the e-mail below, there is NO SHAKTI. There is NO Will to resist or retaliate. There is POLITICAL VACUUM that is inviting AGGRESSION once again.
Some of us can see the Law of Cause & Effect while others are doing "pooja & Bhakti" with eyes CLOSED. The pigeon that shuts the eyes thinks that the cat is gone!
Yes, Bharat is doomed if the combined Will (spiritual and mental SHAKTI) of ONE BILLION of us cannot persuade Prime Minister Modi to remove that bust of Gandhi from his office and replace it by Sri Rama's, carrying bow and arrows, or Guru Gobind Singhji's, carrying the sword.
This is the LITMUS TEST that our sleepy nation has to pass.
Indian Army is the mirror of the nation. If we put Gandhi on top then we must accept DELHI going under the same flag as LAHORE- sooner or later.
