Bihar : Indian Muslim shuns wife for attending Independence Day function, weird isn't it ?

Begusarai (Bihar) : When the whole nation was enjoying the glory and the spirit of freedom on 68th Independence Day, a Muslim school teacher from Bihar was tortured and shunned by her husband for attending the Independence Day function claiming she had violated the Muslim or Shariat law.
Khatoon, a teacher in government-run middle school in Begusarai, was driven out of her house along with her two minor sons and husband after she attended the Independence Day celebrations. She later approached the Begusarai superintendent of police and sought justice. She also informed the police that her husband was torturing her for more dowry since their marriage in 2003.
Muslim priests and scholars informed the sources that Umar Khan was misusing the name of the Muslim Personal Law or the Shariat law to force her out of the house and hoisting the national flag and participating in the function is not against the Shariat law and it’s an insane excuse.
