IMPORTANCE OF BEING ANNA HAZARE \ \\\\\\\\\\\\ One method of gauging the social importance of a person is to key in his name on "Google" and press 'enter'. Google tells you the number of results it gets in the search. In an idle reverie, I checked this figure for the three persons who hold the most powerful posts in our country and compared them with Anna Hazare. Here is what I found: \\\\\\\\\\\\ Sonia Gandhi 3.51 million\\\\\\\\\\ Dr Manmohan Singh 3.94 million\\\\\\\\\\\ HE Smt Pratibha Patil 3.24 million\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ And for Anna Hazare I got 19.3 million . This is nearly DOUBLE of the sum of above three figures! \\\\\\\\\\\\\ Call me a 'nut' if you like. But I am beginning to think that the most suitable person in India to occupy the Rashtrapati Bhawan next year when it falls vacant in July 2012 is Anna Hazare.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Corruption is seen by most Indians as the greatest evil that bugs our nation and who can be a better choice than Anna? If a person with his kind of track record is placed in that august office, we do not need any more ombudsmen! \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ For those who may not know, the achievements of Anna Hazare are significant. Despite his humble beginning, he had done so much that the governments of the time honored him with the Padma Shri in 1990 and Padma Bhushan in 1992. His services have been recognized by several international organizations and when he says something, he is heard with reverence all over the country. For a man who started his life as a Driver in the army this is awesome. In my humble opinion, this could be ever best tribute to Mahatma Gandhi in the 65th year of our Independence. As the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, soldiers will identify themselves with him and come out with their best, when called upon to do so. \\\\\\\\\\\\ Please do tell me, if you think I have gone crazy or turned senile. If not, pass this message on to your friends. \\\\\\\\\\PASS THIS MESSAGE ON. \\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\ ------------ 000000000
