It then occurred to me that I had forgotten the birthday of the Bigger, nay, the Biggest B i.e. Shaheed-e-Aazam, Sardar Bhagat Singh which fell on 27th September, 2009. How silly of me? While Amitabh Bachchan is a wonderful actor who played the angry young man in various films in reel life, it was Shaheed-e-Aazam Sardar Bhagat Singh who played an angry young man in real life. Amitabh Bachchan had the freedom to rehearse his lines but not Sardar Bhagat Singh who thundered in the Court of the British Empire, "To hell with your rules and regulations...". Amitabh Bachchan was not sentenced Even for a single day for his angry young man's role but Sardar Bhagat Singh was sentenced to death for being an angry young man. Although many days have passed since the birthday of Sardar Bhagat Singh, I salute him belatedly on his birthday. I remember now that Sardar Bhagat Singh had said that real independence would not come to us if Brown Sahibs replaced white Sahibs.
