..................Paswan vows to ban RSS

New Delhi, March 30: The Lok Janashakti Party led by former Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan has promised to ban the RSS, the VHP and the Bajrang Dal if it is part of the Opposition-led front government after the elections, reports our special correspondent.

The promise to ban “the communal” organisations is part of the party’s manifesto released here today by Paswan. The 31-point manifesto has come down heavily “on the failure of the NDA government on economic front, anti-labour policies, impairment of secularism and communal harmony, terrorism, foreign policy and corruption”.

The party has promised to bring in legislation to make the “right to work” a fundamental right to ensure employment, right to free and compulsory education for children of deprived sections and computers and Internet in urban and rural schools, right to health, population control, reservation for SC/ST in the private sector and so on.

Paswan said his party would contest 40 Lok Sabha seats across the country. In Bihar, it is contesting eight seats — Nalanda, Araria, Purnea, Saharsa, Hajipur, Rosera, Balia and Bagha.
